CHIPS (Cosmic Hot Interstellar Plasma Spectrometer) is an American (NASA) astrophysics spacecraft that was launched by a Delta 2 rocket from Vandenberg AFB at 00:45 UT on 13 January 2003. The 60 kg, triaxially-stabilized spacecraft has a spectrograph covering the 9-26 nm wavelength band at a resolution of 0.1 nm, scanning the entire sky in chunks of 5 degree x 27 degree segments during each orbit. The targets are the hot and diffuse nebulae at about a million degrees temperature. The band covers several strong emission lines. Launch Date:   2003-01 13     Launch Vehicle:  Delta II Launch Site:   Vandenberg AFB, United States Mass:   60 kg  CHIPS carried out an all-sky survey of the diffuse background at wavelengths from  90  to 260 Å at a spectral resolution between about λ / 150 and λ / 40, and a spatial resolution of 5 to 15 degrees. Massive asteroid to fly by off earth Today.

According to the updates from NASA team,
A large asteroid almost that of a massive size which was discovered nearly three years ago will fly safely past Earth on April 19 at a distance of about 1.8 million kilometers, or about 4.6 times the distance from Earth to the moon. There is no possibility for the asteroid to collide with our planet, still this will be a very close approach for an asteroid of size like this to fly past off earth.
This asteroid commonly known as 2014 JO25, was discovered in May 2014 by astronomers working at the Catalina Sky Survey near Tucson, Arizona under a project of NASA's NEO Observations Program in collaboration with the University of Arizona. (An NEO is a near-Earth object). Current measurements by NASA's NEOWISE mission indicate that the asteroid is about 2,000 feet (650 meters) in size, and that its surface is about twice as reflective as that of the moon. At this point of  time very little else is known about the object’s physical properties, however its trajectory is well known to us.
So be ready with your telescope on 19 April, you may be able to watch it.
